“You don’t always have to stay in your comfort zone though. That’s no fun! You are inevitably going to have some downtime, and if you’re in a cool city, you should definitely enjoy it outside the confines of your hotel. You’d be amazed what you could get done with an extra hour or two on your hands. A 45 minute museum tour, take a hike or run in a park or city trail, rent a bike, hit the downtown area and be a tourist for a lunch break. Give your brain something fun to do so it has the capacity to keep productivity up when it’s time to get back to work.
Above all else, travel should be a positive experience. Just like with anything else in business, attitude and preparation and a sense of humor are the keys to success.”
